Roseburg Police jailed two people for warrants early Thursday morning.
An RPD report said at 4:30 a.m. officers stopped a sedan for traffic violations at the intersection of West Military Avenue and West Umpqua Street. The passenger, identified as a 24-year-old man, had several warrants for his arrest. The suspect was additionally found to be in possession of a user amount of fentanyl. The man was taken into custody, detained for the warrants and held on $3,000 bail.
Once at corrections, an officer reportedly found a methamphetamine pipe which the driver had tried to conceal in the seat of the patrol car during the ride to jail. The driver, a 27-year-old woman, admitted to recent drug use. She was detained for a parole violation and was held without bail. The woman was released later in the day on Thursday. Both people were cited for drug crimes.
