Roseburg Police jailed a man for a warrant after contacting him at a camp on Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. 35-year-old Jeffrey Mathies was located at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. Mathies camp was set up on a pad carved into a riverbank. The camp was surrounded by approximately one truckload of trash. He had already been cited twice previously for prohibited camping.

Mathies was charged with the warrant, depositing trash in or near waters, and a criminal count of prohibited camping. Mathies was detained on $5,000 bail.
