ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOLLOWING DISTURBANCE

Roseburg Police jailed a woman following a disturbance on Thursday.

An RPD report said shortly after 12:00 p.m. officers responded to the area of Northwest Renann Street and Northwest Edenbower Boulevard after a caller said a female was chasing a man with a knife. Officers arrived at the scene and saw 38-year-old Jessica Gater in possession of the knife. Gater reportedly admitted to chasing the victim with the knife and threatening to kill him. She was taken into custody without incident.

Gater was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, attempting to commit a class B felony and second-degree disorderly conduct. She was detained on $10,000 bail.
