COW CREEK TRIBE/SEVEN FEATHERS CASINO UNVEIL HOLIDAY LIGHTS

November 28, 2025 3:30 a.m.

The Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians and Seven Feathers Casino Resort invite families from all over southern Oregon to celebrate the start of the holiday season with the inaugural, “Light the Sky” event, marking the largest holiday celebration in Seven Feathers 33-year history.

A tribal release said, Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. guests are invited to witness the moment that more than 1.5 million holiday lights set up throughout Exit 99 in Canyonville are illuminated and will dazzle the night sky.

The free, family-friendly lighting ceremony will take place at the main entrance of Seven Feathers Casino Resort and kicks off the property’s Winter Wonderland Celebration, which will run through January 1st. At 5:00 p.m. Tribal Chairman Carla Keene will flip the switch, triggering a synchronized lighting display that requires 22 team members positioned across Exit 99 to coordinate the spectacular moment.

The release said the project has been months in preparation, with Seven Feathers facilities teams working to prepare and install lights across the property since August. The transformation encompasses the resort, the RV resort, and the Truck and Travel Center along with Creekside Hotel and Suites. Inside the casino, over 80 decorated holiday trees will be on display throughout the facility.

The Light the Sky holiday event includes:

*Performances by the Cow Creek Umpqua Tribal Youth Carol Singers

*Traditional blessing by Cow Creek Umpqua Education Program Officer, Jesse Jackson

*Special appearance by Santa Claus

*Complimentary hot cocoa bar, candy canes, and treats

*Photo opportunities throughout the illuminated property

*Free admission for all ages
