Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported theft incident on Saturday afternoon.

An RPD report said just before 4:30 p.m. the manager at a grocery store in the 700block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard said that the 42-year-old had stolen two Monster energy drinks worth under $6. An officer contacted the suspect nearby shortly after the report and found him to still be in possession of both cans.

The store wanted to pursue charges, so the man was taken into custody and charged with third-degree theft. The man was detained on $1,250 bail.
