In response to the recent pause in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, the OCCU Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Oregon Community Credit Union, has launched an urgent appeal through its Feeding Families Fund to provide critical support to those that were most affected.

OCCU Foundation Board Chair and OCCU President and CEO Ron Neumann said, “OCCU Foundation established the Feeding Families Fund to help local food banks and programs provide reliable food access”. Neumann said, “We are inspired by the tireless work of our partner organizations and the generosity of our community”.

To maximize community support, the OCCU Foundation will match up to $50,000 in contributions – doubling the impact of every dollar donated. Both OCCU members and non-members can donate in-branch or online at: https://myoccu.org/feeding-families-fund.

To provide immediate assistance, the foundation has already sent funding to a number of nonprofit organizations around Oregon, including the United Community Action Network.

In Douglas County, OCCU has a branch at 780 Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard, in Roseburg.
