Sutherlin Police jailed a man for violation of a release agreement on Thursday night.

An SPD report said on November 7th at approximately 9:50 p.m. a victim claimed the suspect had contacted her using text message and had called her by cell phone. The victim has a valid and enforceable no contact order against the man due to a current case that is being litigated. The victim provided an officer with copies of the texts that the man had allegedly made.

The officer attempted to contact the suspect but was unable to speak with him. The officer located the man on Thursday night and placed him into custody. He was detained without bail.
