Roseburg Police jailed a man for violation of a no contact order on Tuesday.

An RPD report said just after 4:00 pm. officers contacted the suspect and the protected person after a caller said there was a disturbance at Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. The 35-year-old from Eugene initially gave officers a false name. They learned that the man was prohibited from having contact with the person with him.

Salvatore Caputa was charged with violation of a no contact order, giving false information to police and a failure to appear warrant. Caputa was detained on $20,000 bail.
