ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged assault incident on Sunday night.

An RPD report said at 11:20 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 2700 block of Northeast Douglas Avenue and located an adult female with multiple injuries to her face. During the investigation, it was determined that 25-year-old Kayce Mason-King had punched the victim in the face and strangled her before leaving the area on foot. Officers later contacted Mason-King inside the apartment and took him into custody without incident.  After arraignment, bail was set at $20,000.
