ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR FOURTH-DEGREE FELONY ASSAULT

Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge of fourth-degree felony assault on Saturday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 2:30 p.m. officers contacted the 41-year-old regarding an alleged prior assault at a residence in the 100 block of Sunshine Road. During the incident, the suspect reportedly got into an altercation with a victim and pulled her leg from underneath her, causing her to fall and hit her head on the corner of a countertop. The victim allegedly lost consciousness suffered a concussion, and had a laceration that required staples.

The man was taken into custody and transported to corrections. After arraignment, bail was set at $15,000.
