A Drain man was jailed following a DUII incident on Wednesday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:30 p.m. the 52-year-old called in a verbal harassment complaint and a deputy spoke with him by phone. The man reportedly sounded intoxicated and admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to calling. While on the phone, the man advised that he was driving right behind the deputy near the intersection of Date Street and Division Street in Drain.
The deputy stopped the man and noticed more signs of impairment along with two firearms. The driver refused standard field sobriety tests and refused consent to a breath sample. The man was transported to corrections where the deputy applied for a search warrant for his breath and blood. The search warrant was executed, and the man remained in custody.
He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and for unlawful possession and concealment of firearms. He was detained without bail.
