In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Valley Arts has announced that registration is now for non-members at The Clay Place.

New and returning registrants can sign up for winter term which will run from January 7th through March 7th.  Returning registrants can sign up for the bonus term which will be offered from November 17th through December 19th.

Starting in 2026, there will be three enrollment types at The Clay Place:

*Open Studio plus Class is for students/artists new to clay and who need guidance from instructors twice a week

*Open Studio is for artists who are more self-guided with clay experience and don’t need access to classes

*Drop-In Punch Pack is for artists who might have their own home studio set up and need access to glazes and firings but need minimal studio time.
