Roseburg Police jailed a fugitive they found in Stewart Park on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 6:30 p.m. 31-year-old Kendall Sweet was contacted at the park in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive, after he was allegedly following people in the area. Officers learned that Sweet was wanted by his parole officer and had failed to update his sex offender registration since being released from prison in July. Sweet also had a failure to appear warrant for his arrest.

He was charged with three counts of failure to report as a sex offender, parole violation and for the warrant. Bail was set at $20,000.
