Roseburg Police jailed a man Tuesday for a reported previous theft case.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. 38-year-old Gene Dir was contacted near the intersection of Northeast Rowe Street and Northeast Winchester Street after he was found to be the suspect in a case where someone had used a stolen credit card at a business on Northeast Stephens Street.

Dir was charged with identity theft, computer crime, fraudulent use of a credit card and two counts of third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,250.
