A Wind Advisory is in effect from 8:00 p.m. Friday through 8:00 p.m. Saturday for central Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said southwest winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected. The Advisory area also includes eastern Curry County and Josephine County.

Forecasters said gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong may make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Motorists should use caution.
