Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 6:00 p.m. the 58-year-old allegedly stole a $200 shopping cart and a six pack of drinks from a grocery store in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. He was found at a nearby business, with both the shopping cart and the drinks in his possession.

The man was charged with second-degree theft and first-degree criminal trespass. Bail was set at $12,500.
