Jerry Bruce Community Campus partner organizations Family Development Center, The FISH Food Pantry, Umpqua Homes, United Community Action Network and Aviva Health are holding a Trunk-or-Treat event for local families on Saturday.
It will take place in the Aviva Health Parking lot at 150 Northeast Kenneth Ford Drive, just north of Costco.
A release said more than 30 staff members from campus organizations are volunteering their time and trunks to hand out store-purchased, individually wrapped candy or toys to children and their families. Children and their parents or guardians are encouraged to wear family friendly costumes to add more Halloween spirit to the event.
Aviva Health Marketing and Development Director Mark Tsuchiya said, “it’s hard to believe this is our fourth Trunk-or-Treat. Each year it gets bigger and more fun. We can’t wait to see families from all over the community come out to celebrate Halloween in a safe and festive way”.
The Aviva Health parking lot on the west side of the facility where the event takes place will be closed to vehicle traffic for the safety of families and volunteers attending the event. Those who attend can park in the lot on the east side of the Aviva Health building and Aviva Health employee parking located on the northeast corner of the Costco parking lot.
