ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR REPORTED STRANGULATION INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported strangulation incident on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said just after 4:30 p.m. officers responded after a caller said there was a disturbance in the 300 block of West Umpqua Street. Officers learned that 28-year-old Tyler Walker had allegedly attacked a female victim after she yelled at him for choking his dog. Walker reportedly choked and punched the victim multiple times in front of multiple witnesses.

He was charged with fourth-degree assault, strangulation and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $18,750.
