Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported theft incident on Friday.

An RPD report said shortly after 3:00 p.m. officers responded to a store in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after loss prevention employees said a man, later identified as a 43-year-old, stole multiple items from the business and left the scene.

Officers located the man near the store, and he admitted to stealing the items. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections without incident. The man was detained on $1,250 bail. He was released on Sunday.
