The Oregon Department of Human Services and the Shop with a Cop program are the recipients this holiday season by a H.O.P.E. Drug Court participant working to make sure teens and young children in Douglas County feel the joy of Christmas morning.

A Douglas County Circuit Court release said the community is invited to help by donating stocking items and teen-friendly gifts that will be provided to local youth in need.

Items needed include store gift cards, water bottles and Stanley cups, headphones an ear buds, holiday candy, sunglasses/gloves and hats, bowling and movie passes, hairbrushes and accessories, and other fun stocking stuffers.

Donation drop off locations are:

*Lilly’s Restaurant on Northwest Stewart Parkway

*Big O Tires on Northwest Stewart Parkway

*Douglas County Juvenile Department lobby on the first floor of the courthouse on Southeast Douglas Avenue

H.O.P.E. Drug Court graduate phase participant Toby Marlow said, “I feel honored to be able to give back to the same organizations that helped me get to where I am today”. For more information on making donations, contact Marlow at 860-8995.
