Roseburg Police jailed a man for a warrant early Friday.

An RPD report said at 1:45 a.m. officers contacted the 45-year-old in the 400 block of Southeast Spruce Street, regarding a warrant for his arrest. The man allegedly tried to walk away from officers and was taken to the ground. He was detained without further issue and transported to corrections.

The man violated his probation when he failed to appear on an RPD case, and his probation officer wanted him detained. The man was held on $7,500 bail.
