TAKE BACK THE NIGHT NEON WALK OCTOBER 23RD

October 10, 2025 3:05 a.m.

Peace at Home Advocacy Center will have their first Take Back the Night event on Thursday, October 23rd.

It is being held to raise awareness about how Douglas County can support survivors of sexual violence. Participants will walk through downtown Roseburg to speak out about not tolerating sexual violence, to support survivors in their healing, and to help create a safer community for all.

The event will begin at the Douglas County Courthouse at 5:30 p.m.

Glow sticks will be provided to registered participants, who are asked to wear neon colors, to be a bright light for survivors.

There are two options for event registration. A $25 pre-registration fee will include a T-shirt, bag of goodies and a Birdie Safety Alarm.  Free pre-registration includes a bag of goodies, including a flashlight. Additional donations can be made as well.

A number of businesses and organizations are sponsoring Take Back the Night.
