Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman in north county on Tuesday.

A DCSO report said at 5:00 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of West A Street and 2nd Street in Drain. The vehicle failed to yield, but instead the driver, 39-year-old Taralee Montano, sped into a parking lot and exited the vehicle. Montano allegedly disregarded all commands to stay in her vehicle and not flee from the scene.

The woman reportedly went into a nearby store. She was later taken into custody and charged with attempting to elude police in a vehicle, interfering with a police officer, and obstructing government administration. Montano was detained without bail.
