The Roseburg High School Marching Band placed first out of 13 bands at a regional competition at Liberty High School over the weekend.

Roseburg scored well across multiple categories, securing 1st place in Music Effect, General Effect, and Ensemble Visual. The band also earned 2nd place in Visual Effect, Ensemble Music, and Percussion.

The Indians tallied a program-record score of 76.4.

The marching band’s show this year is titled “Cruisin” and features music from the 1960s. the theme of the show centers around classic car culture and takes much inspiration from Roseburg’s annual Graffiti weekend event.

Community members can catch the award-winning Roseburg Marching Band at all home football games.
