A Tualatin woman was arrested after allegedly being caught entering a residence on the homeowner’s security cameras Tuesday afternoon.

Lilly Backlund was allegedly seen on a security camera entering a victim’s home in the 2000 block of Melton Road around 3 p.m. The victim reportedly called her parents who live next door, and they arrived at the home to find Backlund walking down the driveway.

The 22-year-old woman fled back up the driveway, tumbled over a fence, jumped into a pond, swam across and ran into a doghouse at the residence with the dog inside, according to DCSO. The homeowner’s parents reportedly retrieved the dog through a backdoor, but Backlund would not come out.

Deputies removed the woman and took her into custody on a charge of first degree burglary. She’s being held without bail at the Douglas County Jail.
