CHI Mercy Health -Mercy Foundation has the Challenge of the Heroes Event on Thursday.

A Mercy release said the community is invited to join law enforcement, fire fighters and EMTs – the local heroes – as they challenge each other supporting Douglas County Child Abuse Prevention initiatives.

From 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 pm. a number of restaurants in Roseburg, Sutherlin, Winston, Myrtle Creek and Glide will be participating.

Red Robin in Roseburg is hosting an all-day fundraiser Thursday as well.
