TRANSIENT JAILED FOR ROV, DRUG CHARGE

A transient was jailed for a restraining order violation and a drug charge on Saturday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:50 a.m. a deputy contacted a vehicle in the 2000 block of Del Mar Drive in the Green District. He found the registered owner to be the protected person in a restraining order. The passenger was a 31-year-old who was the respondent in the RO. He was taken into custody without incident, and a small amount of fentanyl was allegedly located on his person.

In addition to the RO, the man was charged with unlawful possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.
