Roseburg Police jailed a man for failure to report as a sex offender on Wednesday night,

An RPD report said at 10:40 p.m. officers were performing a security check at a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. They contacted the 31-year-old who was sleeping between two dumpsters. Dispatch advised that the man had yet to make his initial report to the Oregon State Police sex offender registry after being released from prison. The man’s parole officer wanted him detained for committing new crimes.

He was charged with the parole violation and for failure to report. The man was detained without bail.
