Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Tuesday evening.

An RPD report said at 6:55 p.m. a 40-year-old man and a protected person, were contacted together at a camp near Gaddis Park in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. There was a valid restraining order, which restrained the man from being with the victim.

The man was detained on $5,000 bail.
