ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR PROBATION VIOLATION

Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a probation violation on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 5:10 p.m. officers contacted the 38-year-old in the 500 block of West Umpqua Street after a caller said she was passed out in her vehicle. During the contact, the woman showed obvious signs of impairment and reeked of alcohol, according to the report.

Officers discovered that the woman is on felony probation and not allowed to have alcohol. Her probation officer authorized a detainer, and she was taken into custody without incident. The woman denied a search of her vehicle, which was another stipulation of her probation. She was allegedly found in possession of pepper spray and a self-defense spike, which was also a violation. The woman was transported to corrections. She was detained without bail.
