Abundant lightning moved across the Umpqua National Forest on Saturday with twelve new fires confirmed on Sunday.

A UNF post said four fires are in contained status.

– Old Fire (#392) – Estimated at one-tenth of an acre. Located just east of Garwood Butte on the Diamond Lake Ranger District. 100% lined, 80% mopped up.

– Sherwood Fire (#393) – Estimated at 1 to 2 acres. Located just southeast of Garwood Butte on the Diamond Lake Ranger District. Rappelers on scene.

– Upper Sherwood Fire (#395) – Estimated at one-tenth of an acre. Located just south of Garwood Butte on the Diamond Lake Ranger District. Fully lined, mop up is complete.

– Tallow Fire (#397) – Estimated at 0.53 acres. Located just north of Tallow Butte on the Tiller Ranger District. 90% lined, hoselay complete, 5 to 10 feet mopped up.

– Buck Fire (#398) – Estimated at one-tenth of an acre. Located just north of Tallow Butte on the Tiller Ranger District. Fully lined, in mop up.

– Coyote Fire (#401) – Estimated at ten acres. Located northwest of Tallow Butte on the Tiller Ranger District.

– Three Lakes (#404) – Estimated at a half of an acre. Located south of Garwood Butte on the Diamond Lake Ranger District. 100% lined, beginning mop up.

– Spring Fire (#406) – Estimated at one-tenth of an acre. Just north of Twomile Creek on the Tiller Ranger District. Fully lined, in mop up.

– Diamond Drive Fire (#390)

The UNF is in High fire danger with Public Use Restrictions and the Industrial Fire Precaution Level at Level 2.
