A Coos County area transient was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
A DCSO report said for several days 30-year-old Jordan Edwards had been acting disorderly throughout the Reedsport and Winchester Bay areas. Thursday night he showed up again at a residence in the 800 block of Clearlake Avenue in the Reedsport area. Friday morning at approximately 7:20 a.m. the deputy found him walking in the middle of the road again dragging a wooden pallet.
After Edwards was detained and the investigation unfolded, it was determined that he had been camping out-front of the same residence again, acting disorderly. While camping, the man reportedly committed more crimes. He allegedly used cinder blocks and scratched the side of a pickup belonging to the property owner. Edwards also reportedly removed items from the bed of the truck and threw them all over the place. In addition, he allegedly broke a lock off a shed on the property.
Edwards was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree counts of criminal mischief. disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, third-degree theft, and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. Edwards was detained without bail.
