The Elkton Community Education Center is presenting Fort Umpqua Days on Saturday and Sunday.
An ECEC release said the Labor Day Weekend tradition brings together history, family, fun, food and community spirit at one of Elkton’s most unique educational and historical sites.
Visitors can enjoy living history demonstrations at the replica Fort Umpqua, tour the butterfly pavilion, orchards and market garden and explore booths by local artisans and vendors. Families will find hands-on games for kids, including old-time games and crafts.
Saturday will include a parade on River Road at 10:00 am. Live music will be presented both days. The Echoes of the Umpqua Pageant Performance will take place each night at 5:00 p.m.
The festival begins at 9:00 a.m. both days. Admission is free.
