A freeway crash early on Wednesday morning closed Interstate 5 northbound and one southbound lane of the freeway for a time, in the Curtin area.
Information from the Oregon State Police said the wreck happened just before 6:30 a.m. near milepost 163. A log truck traveling northbound, operated by a Sutherlin man, left the roadway, travelled on the shoulder of the freeway, and then crossed over both northbound lanes, striking the median concrete barrier. The force of the impact moved the concrete barrier into a southbound lane and into the path of a semi-truck, operated by a California man, causing the CMV to crash.
The wreck resulted in the log truck spilling logs onto both directions of Interstate 5.
No additional information has been released by OSP.
