Roseburg Police jailed a man for a failure to appear warrant on Wednesday.

An RPD report said just after 9:30 a.m. the 68-year-old was contacted for drinking in public in the 2600 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. During the contact, the officer learned the man had an active warrant for his arrest out of Multnomah County. The warrant was confirmed, and he was taken into custody without incident. He was also cited and released for the city ordinance violation.

The man was detained without bail.
