Roseburg Police jailed a man on Wednesday for an alleged prior theft incident.

An RPD report said at 5:00 p.m. officers contacted 25-year-old Rad Osburn in the 100 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. Osburn was a person of interest in a past theft case where a chainsaw was taken from a vehicle at a motel in the 1600 block of Northwest Mulholland Drive.

Osburn admitted to the theft and agreed to get the property back. After several hours, he contacted officers and returned the stolen property. The man was charged with first-degree theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and second-degree criminal mischief. Osburn was detailed without bail.
