A Glendale area transient was jailed for a failure to appear warrant on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 5:40 p.m. a deputy was driving on Pacific Avenue in Glendale and noticed the 29-year-old walking towards the railroad tracks. When the suspect saw the deputy, he took off running and ultimately hid in some blackberry bushes near Gilbert Avenue.

The man was arrested and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $15,000.
