Sutherlin Police jailed a woman for a warrant and other charges following an escape incident on Saturday.

An SDP report said at 7:20 p.m. 43-year-old Shannon McKeehan fled from an officer on her bicycle after being told she was under arrest in the 1300 block of West Central Avenue. McKeehan allegedly cut across traffic making vehicles stop and went the wrong way on a one-way street. She was pursued by an officer who had deployed lights and sirens to the 1400 block of Gleason Road, where she reportedly continued to disobey orders by an officer and physically resisted being taken into custody.

McKeehan was charged with the warrant, and for third-degree escape, obstructing government administration, second-degree disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. She was detained without bail.
