Roseburg Police jailed a man for littering near waters and prohibited camping on Friday.

An RPD report said at 3:50 p.m. the 51-year-old was sitting in a tent in Gaddis Park, in the 800 block of Northwest Highland Street. The tent was surrounded by trash and other personal property. The camp violated the time, place and manner sections of the city camping ordinance. The man had four prior camping convictions.

He was taken into custody. Bail was set at $2,500.
