Roseburg received the most measurable rainfall on a day since May, on Saturday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the Roseburg Regional Airport measured 0.13 inches of rain. That was the biggest amount of rain since May 12th, when the rain gauge at the airport saw 0.14 inches of rain.
Forecasters said high pressure will slowly nudge into the area as the week goes on, leading to near normal seasonal temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday. Starting Thursday, highs jump to the 90’s for several days.
Roseburg’s high temperatures were 80 degrees on Sunday, and 74 degrees on Saturday, both well below the normal high temperatures for this part of August.
