Roseburg Police jailed a man for violation of a stalking order on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 12:50 p.m. the 57-year-old was contacted in the 1400 block of Northeast Freemont Avenue. The suspect had allegedly sent numerous text messages to the respondent of that order.

He was also charged with two counts of harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,000.
