SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR WARRANT/RESISTING ARREST

Sutherlin Police jailed a woman for a warrant and for resisting arrest early Saturday.

An SPD report said at 1:00 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle passing his location in the 1300 block of West Central Avenue. The officer knew the woman had a warrant for her arrest. The officer initiated a traffic stop.

He informed the woman that she was under arrest. After he placed the 40-year-old in handcuffs, she reportedly began resisting. While attempting to place her in the patrol vehicle, she was allegedly kicking and attempting to resist officers. She was eventually taken into custody.

Bail was set at $11,250. The woman was released early Tuesday morning.
