Sutherlin Police jailed a man for an alleged eluding incident on Wednesday.

An SPD report said at 7:30 p.m. 21-year-old Lucas Doolittle was called in for speeding and possibly driving while intoxicated on Interstate 5 northbound near the south Sutherlin exit. Dolittle reportedly attempted to elude prior to eventually stopping.

He asked for a lawyer. The man was charged with attempting to elude a police officer in a vehicle, reckless driving and DUII. Doolittle was detained without bail.
