Roseburg Police jailed a man for a restraining order violation on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 4:50 p.m. an officer contacted the 43-year-old in the 1800 block of Southeast Douglas Avenue and placed him under arrest. The man had reportedly violated a restraining order by going to the address of the protected person and contacting them.

The man admitted to the contact when the officer spoke with him on Wednesday. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. Bail was set at $5,000.
