Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported assault incident on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said at 11:10 p.m. officers responded to a large disturbance at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Northeast Vine Street. Several neighbors said there was a physical fight between a 25-year-old suspect and a victim. Upon arrival, officers learned the victim had allegedly been taken to the ground by her hair and punched several times.

The victim was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. The suspect was taken into custody without issue. Bail was set at $8,750.
