The Douglas Forest Protective Association is moving the Public Use Restriction Level to Extreme, effective Sunday.
This is for all private, county, state and Bureau of Indian Affairs land within the Douglas District.
DFPA Public Information Officer Rachel Pope said the Industrial Fire Precaution Level will remain at Level 3.
Pope said this means non-industrial power saw usage, cutting, grinding, or welding of metal, cutting, trimming, or mowing of dried cured grass and power-driven machinery for non-industrial improvement or development on private property will be prohibited.
