Roseburg Police cited a bicyclist for DUII on Saturday afternoon.
An RPD report said at 12:50 p.m. officers contacted the woman riding her bike near the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard Northeast Cummins Street. Multiple people had called dispatch regarding the woman riding eastbound on Diamond Lake Boulevard and falling off her bike and also riding into oncoming traffic.
A bus driver who had dropped off the woman at a bus stop said he had witnessed her fall over while trying to ride her bicycle and advised that he could smell alcohol coming from her breath. During their contact with the cyclist, officers observed signs of impairment. She consented to standard field sobriety tests which she reportedly performed poorly. The woman was taken into custody without incident. While at corrections, the woman reportedly provided a blood alcohol sample of .27 percent. That is more than three times the legally allowed level of intoxication for operating a vehicle.
The woman was given a citation for driving under the influence of intoxicants. She was released after the citation was issued.
