FORT UMPQUA DAYS RETURNING TO ECEC FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND

August 4, 2025 2:50 a.m.

Fort Umpqua Days returns to the Elkton Community Education Center, on Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st.

The annual festival is designed to help attendees take a step back in time and celebrate the local heritage by bringing together history, family fun, food and community spirit at the unique historical site.

An ECEC release said visitors can enjoy living history demonstrations at the replica Fort Umpqua, tour the butterfly pavilion, orchards and garden market and explore booths by local artisans and vendors. Families will find hands-on activities for kids, including old-time games and crafts, while the Outpost Learning Café and a barbecue fundraiser lunch offer a way to refuel.

Admission is free. Festival hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, culminating with a pageant that starts at 5:00 p.m.
