Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged robbery incident on Thursday.
An RPD report said at 5:30 p.m. officers contacted the 44-year-old after he allegedly stole from a store in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The suspect reportedly told a security guard that he would kill them, when they confronted him.
The man claimed he meant the threat as a “figure of speech” and called the security guard a terrorist. He was detained without incident and was taken to corrections. The man was charged with third-degree counts of robbery and theft. He was detained without bail.
