A juvenile was taken into custody following a DUII incident on Tuesday night.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 8:10 p.m. officers contacted the 17-year-male at Stewart Park in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Park Drive. He was allegedly found to be in possession of a half full bottle of vodka, which he admitted to drinking. During contact with the male, as well as speaking with two other juveniles he was with , officers learned the teen had driven to the park that evening and had the juveniles in the vehicle with him.

The teen admitted to drinking throughout the day, prior to driving to the park. He consented to standard field sobriety tests, which he reportedly performed poorly. He was taken into custody without incident. The juvenile was also allegedly found to be in possession of a spring-loaded knife, which he had in his pocket.

The male was transported to the Winston Police Department, where he refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was granted for a legal draw of his blood, which was executed at CHI Mercy Medical Center. He was transported to the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center.

He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, refusal to take tests, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, carrying concealed weapons and a parole violation.
